This week is E’s birthday week, which means that she is that she gets to choose what she wants for meals! We started off her birthday week at my cousin’s wedding over the weekend with a nice dinner out that ended with DIVINE chocolate bourbon pecan pie and then continued yesterday with a BIG breakfast that featured a Belgian Waffle Bar.
Because you guys remember last year’s belgian waffle request, right?
This year, I took one of her favorite breakfast treats and turned it into a fun, interactive activity for my creative sister.
Waffles, fruit, chocolate chips, and syrup placed in the middle of the table and I let everyone make their own creation!
My sister is exactly like me and put everything on her waffle, but the whole “bar” concept allows everyone to have something they want without all the extra fuss of having to customize the batter for each person.
Plus, you can make your waffle bar as big or as small as you want! My sister really likes chocolate and fruit, but if your crew likes nuts, yogurt, peanut butter, etc., make sure to put those out too!!
A sweet celebration for my sweet sister!
So, kiddos, what’s your favorite birthday breakfast tradition?
Love,
E’s Sister
